Stoned gamers put the hot pockets down it's time to get that inside scoop on the latest games coming to your home later this year.

This year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) scheduled from June 14-16 at the Los Angeles Convention Center will be hosting a slew of new products and games that will leave you stuck in your couch without having to blaze.

Rumors have it this year is packed with announcements that might have you get off the couch and actually go to E3. Companies such as Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo have surfaced that they may all be revealing new consoles this year so MERRY JANE will be covering all the latest news leading up to E3 to keep all gamers informed. If you're also in the area, we’ll be listing some dispensaries to visit and fun events that you can attend and enjoy!

The Big Players at E3 2016

Sony
The two big stories floating around are that Sony plans to unveil PlayStation 4.5 or PS Neo which is an upgraded PS4 that will include VR and 4K. The system is rumored to be double the horsepower of the previous system but not a completely new system. New games scheduled to be at E3 2016 for Sony are Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XV and The Last Guardian, which was introduced at last year’s E3. Sony is full of surprises and will have its E3 2016 conference Monday, June 13th at 6pm PDT, 9pm EDT.

Microsoft
Reports have surfaced that Microsoft will also be releasing a new console which is expected to be the Xbox 1.5 or the Xbox Two. The new system is likely to be similar to what Sony is doing and adding 4K and VR gaming but with a wide range of compatibility and support for Windows 10 features. Previous games that have been announced will be the main focus at E3 2016 this year, but Microsoft will be hosting a media briefing Monday, June 13 at 9:30am PDT on Xbox.com teasing the new games for the console. For those in the area, Microsoft is also hosting Xbox FanFest where 500 fans will get to attend and participate in an Xbox E3 2016 conference on Monday, June 13. Tickets are only available at the Microsoft store at Westfield Century City in Los Angeles on Saturday, June 11. For more information on the event, check out Major Nelson's blog post.

Nintendo
The Legend of Zelda franchise will be highlighting this year’s Nintendo E3 2016 presentation but is being overshadowed by rumors Nintendo might unveil their new console, the NX. While the NX has been announced for a future release sources claim that with Nintendo’s diminished sales they may release it earlier than expected. Nintendo is still king of handheld sales with the 3DS but The Legend of Zelda (Wii U, NX) will be the only playable game at E3 this year for Nintendo. At 9 am PDT on June 14, right before E3 2016, Nintendo of America President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime will be kicking off a day-long stream of Nintendo Treehouse: Live. It will feature gameplay from The Legend of Zelda with special commentaries from Nintendo developers, as well as behind-the-scenes information.

Electronic Arts (EA)
The guys who give us Madden every year announced that they won’t have a regular booth at E3 this year opting to have an off-site event free to gamers at the Novo at L.A. Live close by. MERRY JANE readers in the area can sign up for more information on the event at the EA Play website. Those who can’t attend can watch the whole thing live on the same website as well.

Activision Blizzard
One of their main titles Call of Duty makes an appearance every year but just like EA, Activision Blizzard followed suit and opted to not have a booth at this year’s E3. Instead of their usual presence, the Call of Duty series will still make an appearance via Sony PlayStation with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare being one of the most anticipated games this year with Infinity Ward (Modern Warfare Series) developing the game.

Ubisoft
These guys slipped into this piece because of the recent success of Tom Clancy’s The Division, an open world third-person shooter that takes place in mid-crisis Manhattan. Since the game's release it’s been one of their best-selling games in franchise history not to mention these guys are responsible for Assassin’s Creed. The Ubisoft Lounge will be open June 14 and 15 at a disclosed location in Los Angeles. MERRY JANE readers can register for more information by visiting the Ubisoft Lounge website.
