Miley has a pretty outrageous history when it comes to her appearances at award shows. In 2013, Miley Cyrus probably "broke the Internet" long before Kim Kardashian did when she set the world ablaze with her performance mash up of "We Can't Stop" with Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" and introduced to the world to twerking, whether they were ready or not. Later that year, she visited the MTV European Music Awards in 2013 when it was hosted in Amsterdam and proceeded to pull a joint out of her purse, light up, and smoke on stage.
The MTV Video Music Awards realized that they will probably go down in history with Miley's controversial moment as its all time highlight, and to celebrate it, the award show has invited the pop sensation back – not as a guest or a nominee – but as the official host of their 2015 show.
