In a recent partnership with MTV, MERRY JANE is venturing into television with MTV’s new show Mary + Jane.

The Show is a single camera, half-hour comedy that follows two twenty-something best friends on their journey in Los Angeles as “ganjapreneurs”. The two run an all-female weed delivery service — a business that all cannabis consumers can appreciate.

The show is written, directed, and executive produced by Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont who are known for their movies like Can’t Hardly Wait and Made of Honor. Entertainment 360's Guymon Casady, known for his work on Game of Thrones, Marcus Blakely, and Jill McElroy serve as executive producers of Mary + Jane as well. Alongside Kaplan, Elfont, Casady, Blakely, and McElroy, MERRY JANE co-founders Snoop Dogg and Ted Chung are executive producers of Mary + Jane, too. When talking about how Snoop and Chung came to be executive producers of the show, Elfont says, "well, their company is named 'MERRY JANE' so it was just perfect."

It doesn't end there, Snoop, being the musical genius he is, also wrote and performs the show’s theme song — which we must say is one of the catchiest theme songs we've ever heard.

This is big news for the cannabis and entertainment industries as separate entities as this is the first time a cannabis-based media company has partnered with a major television cable network.

The show is set to premiere on Monday, September 5th at 10:30 PM so make sure to set your DVRs and join us for a wild ride.
