Harvard economics professor Jeff Miron is smart and he supports cannabis legalization, both in Massachusetts and every other state voting on it this Nov. 8. In a recent study, he found that prohibition is as costly as it is senseless and detrimental to society. And, unlike the misinformation-loving opponents of Question 4 in his state, he actually uses facts to support his argument.
MERRY JANE sat down with the educator to talk about Question 4, the reality of what changes when states decriminalize, the negative global impact of prohibition, and how regulation will work vs. how he’d like it to. You don’t get an Ivy League degree for watching the video but you can say that a Harvard professor schooled you, which is almost as prestigious.
