With the rumor mill in full swing and rapidly grinding out rumors about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s high profile split, we’re hearing everything ranging from Brad’s alleged intense love affair with cannabis to infidelity of the more carnal kind as possible causes. One might think that now would be perfect time for a movie starring one of them to take advantage of the nonstop publicity.

This is exactly what Paramount Pictures has done, as it has now shared the second trailer for the upcoming World War II drama Allied,” wich starring Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard (the latter whose relationship with Pitt has been much speculated on of late) will hit theaters at the end of next month.

Directed by Robert Zemeckis, the plot centers around young intelligence officer Max Vatan (Pitt) who encounters the beautiful French resistance fighter Marianne Beausejour (Cotillard)in North Africa. After hitting it off (to put it lightly,) they reunite in London and their relationship is tested by the pressures of war.

While the film doesn’t look like it will likely bring too many surprises to the table, as it appears to be a rather formulaic war time drama, the chemistry between Pitt and Cotillard is intriguing. One thing is for sure, with the two of them occupying most of the screen time, it’ll definitely be easy on the eyes.
