Seth Rogen is a man of many, many talents. The Canadian actor, filmmaker, cannabis activist, and all-around funny man gained traction in the entertainment biz with guidance from acclaimed director Judd Apatow, before taking the reign on films he’s both starred, written, and produced. With April 15th being the comedy genius’s 34th birthday, we found no better way to celebrate than to round up five of his greatest acting works to blaze up during (something we’re sure he’s probably doing right at this very moment). That’s right – here’s the list of the best Seth Rogen movies (in no particular order) to watch while stoned.. Birthday blunts all around!

Knocked Up (2007)

Judd Apatow’s second go as director coincided with the evolution of Seth Rogen as a dominating leading man in the comedy corner. His role as the irresponsible, pot-smoking other half to a couple thrown together by a pregnancy-resulting one night stand had us curious what else Rogen was capable of bringing to the table. His stylistic approach on-screen appears almost effortless as he conveys to the audience what it’s like to grow up real fucking fast. That doesn’t necessarily mean you have to throw your bong away though.

Munchie: You’ll have a serious craving for pickles and peanut butter.

Zack and Miri Make a Porno (2008)

If you’re looking for extra raunchy tonight, you’ve come to the right place. Seth, alongside Elizabeth Banks, portray longtime buds who resort to homemade porn in order to get a little extra cash. As expected, hilarity ensues, nothing goes as planned, and you may question what goes on at your local coffee shop after dark. Thanks to the undeniable chemistry between the two leads, as well as the star-studded cast (extra points go to a hilarious scene of banter between Rogen, Justin Long, and Brandon Routh), this is another 90 minutes that we’d have no problem watching over and over again.

Munchie: Real thick and hard.. biscottis, to go with your coffee.

Superbad (2007)

You know a script’s going to be top notch when you first begin conceptualizing it at the ripe age of 13. When it came time for Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg to put Superbad up on the big screen, it made complete sense that the rising comedy star would place himself alongside Bill Hader as a pair of incompetent, show stealing police officers who cross paths with leading ‘teens’ Michael Cera and Jonah Hill. A role written by Rogen for Rogen doesn’t get much better than this, especially when it allows him to deliver lines describing a crime suspect as an “African Jew wearing a hoodie.” How high do you think he was when he wrote this?

Munchie: A nice large glass of Goldslick.

This Is the End (2013)

Essentially Seth Rogen at his finest, as he not only starred, but wrote, and produced this disaster comedy featuring a ragtag team of actors that you’d probably get high just standing next to. The humor comes off naturally between this cast as they are all playing themselves, duking it out during a global apocalypse that leaves with the option of running scared or chilling out and smoking a fat one. The oldest movie to rank on this list, a viewing of This Is the End also documents how far Rogen has come since his 40-Year Old Virgin days back in ’05. Time sure does fly when you’re stoned out of your mind.

Munchie: Take it easy, you might want to ration your supplies.

Pineapple Express (2008)

If watching this film the first time feels a little hazy, don’t worry. Marketed as a stoner comedy for the ages, Pineapple Express fulfills Rolling Stone’s branding of Seth as the ‘Stoner King of Hollywood.’ His relationship with James Franco as the pair of constantly squabbling friends intertwined with weed-related humor is a clear winner when it comes to cannabis movie classics. Spark one up (preferably a solid strain of Pineapple Express should do it) for Seth on his glorious day of birth and be thankful that he delivered all of these amazing films for our viewing pleasure.

Munchie: Complete that sativa with some freshly cut pineapple, of course.
