Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa have finally hit The High Road. We’ve waited patiently all summer and could not be more excited to bring you all this highly anticipated show that will be making multiple stops across this beautiful country.
Snoop and The Game have played an important role on the streets of Los Angeles by opening and maintaining dialogue between citizens, the gangs, and law enforcement. He will, no doubt, bring the message of unity and peace on The High Road Summer Tour 2016, which kicks off today in West Palm Beach, FL.
We know Snoop and Wiz will be hitting blunts during the tour but some of those states are still sticklers when it comes to the opening their heart (and lungs) to the sweet ganja plant, so be careful out there, friends. When taking a toke, remember Florida is one of the most uptight states when it comes to Mary Jane. Think of them as the Mr. Wilson to our Dennis the Menace.
The Sunshine State is still in the Stone Age when it comes to medical marijuana laws. An amendment to the weak medical marijuana law was met with brute force in 2014 as legislation was shot down with the help of billionaire-level funding. The current medical marijuana law allows the use of CBD for those with epilepsy or cancer. Stronger strains are available to those who are only given one year to live.
Drug Free Florida and the Florida Sheriff’s Association have yet to voice the same level of concern for our beloved flower having only received one donation of $1,000 to fight a ballot measure set for this November’s election.
The new amendment will give access to those with a debilitating condition including: cancer, epilepsy, glaucoma, HIV/AIDS, post-traumatic stress disorder, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Crohn's disease, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis or similar conditions.
I know this all sounds like a bummer, and it gets worse. If you are caught in possession of 20 grams of weed, or less, you are likely to face a misdemeanor charge with a $1,000 fine and up to a year behind bars.
But, I guess it could be worse… If you are caught stealing a horse in the state of Florida, the penalty is still death by hanging (although the state did replace the hanging punishment with the electric chair in 1923).
Basically, don’t get caught with marijuana and do not, under any circumstance, steal anyone’s horse.
