Kick off the summer in stoner style using this barbeque and cannabis pairing menu as your guide!

Sunshine, long days, warm nights, ocean breezes, backyard barbeques, three day weekends...We’ve all been waiting for it.

Memorial Day is the unofficial start of summer and one of the top grilling weekends of the year. We’ve taken the liberty of breaking down your standard grilling sesh and paired it with delectable cannabis strains from MERRY JANE GOODS for your enjoyment. Party on and pay respect to the fallen.

Breakfast: Chocolate Cherry Smoothie & Green Crack

There's lots to be done from last minute shopping, furniture rearranging, beer pong preparation and, of course, cooking. Quick! Blend two frozen bananas with a handful of frozen dark sweet cherries, a spot of honey, a spoonful of maca, a dollop of peanut butter, three coffee beans and two scoops of raw cacao nibs. If you’ve got a few cannabis stems and leaves hanging around, toss them in the mix, too. Serve in a chilled glass. This recipe makes enough for two, so recruit a pal for the pre-party.

Between sips of smoothie, inhale a single deep hit of Green Crack’s citrus and piney sweetness. Exhale, and allow the cacao and cannabis to mingle as your motivation soars. Before diving head first into a busy day, take twenty minutes to meditate and relax.

Deep breaths as dew evaporates and the horizon burns bright. Remember, one hit does the trick. Moderation is key. It’ll be a long day. The cacao and coffee will kick in soon...motivation will find you.

Appetizer: Pigs in a Blanket & OG Kush

Cue the soundtrack. Adjust your speakers, and crank your party playlist. Music is the answer and the tunes you provide will steer your inner host, allowing your guests to feel at home. “American Girl” by Tom Petty, “American Pie” by Don McLean, “American Woman” by The Guess Who…anything American will do as you preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

You’ll need eight frankfurters, eight slices of cheddar cheese and one 10 ounce package of refrigerated biscuit dough. Wrap cheese around each frankfurter. Wrap biscuits around the cheese.

Place everything on a cookie sheet with the biscuit’s overlap facing down. Bake until brown, around 12 minutes. As the pigs in a blanket bake, so shall you with some super euphoric, citrus-kissed OG Kush. Grind up a few buds of this heady hybrid and puff puff pass the peace pipe til everyone’s had a bite or toke or two.

Beverages: Fresh Squeezed Mint Lemonade & AK-47

Hydration is your best friend. In a punch bowl, combine one cup of fresh mint leaves and eight fluid ounces of simple syrup and get your Beyonce on. Gently muddle the mint as you stir in one cup of fresh squeezed lemon juice and six cups of cold water.

Add ice, and two cups of sparkling water. Garnish with mint leaves, lemon wheels, and colorful straws. Wanna bump this beverage up a notch? Add a shot of tequila. Craving heat? Rim the glass with a salt and chili powder mixture.

As you quench your thirst, take a quick scan of the crowd. Is everyone smiling? How’s the music volume? Who needs sunscreen? Is the bong empty? Make necessary tweaks to keep the party popping.

Then, pack a precious hit of ultra earthy and skunky AK-47 for you and the rest of the crew.

High fives, dips in the pool and bear hugs: strongly encouraged. You’re happy. You’re loved. But, if there happens to be an ounce of stress left, you’ll shed it during this refreshing sesh.

Burgers: Cajun Sliders & Candy Jack

Grab a spatula. Fire up the grill and a few Candy Jack pre-rolls to pass around. It’s time to get down to business. You’ll welcome the focus and increased appetite this sweet bud brings. Tune out the backseat grillers. Put on your chef’s hat. Culinary magic is about to happen.

Pre-heat the grill to medium-high heat. Mix a half cup of mayonnaise with one teaspoon of Cajun seasoning (salt, garlic powder, black pepper, paprika, thyme, onion powder, cayenne pepper, oregano and red pepper flakes).

Mix one and a half pounds ground beef sirloin, a half cup diced onion, one clove minced garlic, one seeded and chopped jalapeno pepper, one teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, and one tablespoon Cajun seasoning. Flatten into eight patties.

Oil the surface lightly, and place the patties on the grill until cooked to your desired temperature. In the final moments, toss a slice of pepperjack cheese on top. Slide the burgers on the buns and top with seasoned mayo, lettuce, pickle, avocado, and tomato. Bon Appétit.

Dessert: Rocket Pops & Berry White

As the sun sets and the lightning bugs glow, take a moment to appreciate the precious moments your day delivered. Thank your guests for being an integral part of the festivities. Your gratitude means the world. And since you spent the night before preparing dessert, all you have to do is chill out, smile, and pass the rocket pops around. It doesn’t get much cooler than that. Patriotism on a stick pairs well with Berry White, a calming strain with a hint of sour blueberry candy. Your work here is done. Kick back. Relax. Let the kids clean up. Icy treats and fireworks mean your night is complete.

You’ll need a set of six star pop molds (you can find them online), one 12 ounce bag of frozen blueberries (defrosted), six tablespoons of honey, one cup of plain yogurt, one quarter cup of milk, and one 13 ounce bag of frozen raspberries (defrosted). Place the blueberries and two tablespoons of honey in a blender until smooth. Pour the blueberry puree a third of the way up each popsicle mold.

Freeze for half an hour. Mix yogurt, milk, and two tablespoons of honey in a bowl. Whisk until smooth. Pour mixture two thirds of the way up the popsicle mold on top of the blueberry puree. Freeze for another half hour. Place raspberries and two tablespoons of honey in a blender until smooth. Pour the raspberry puree over the yogurt. Insert sticks, and freeze. Enjoy!
