Earlier this year, 21 Savage and Metro Boomin teamed up for the project Savage Mode which featured tracks like "100," "Ocean Drive," and "X" featuring Future.

Now, 21 has dropped the music video for "X," and it is pretty interesting to say the least. The video begins with Savage playing NBA2K with his homie. The session is then interrupted by his girl, who is clearly fed up with the rapper's ways. Savage isn't really with all that shit though, so he and his homie pack up their things and leave the crib.

From there, we find 21 bossing up and explaining how his former significant other became his ex, and how he is now shining hard on her. Switching between a setting where the rapper has money stuffed under a mattress and another setting where 21, Metro Boomin, and Future are dancing in an empty mansion, 21 sets up the perfect story as to what he's been doing since leaving his ex-girlfriend.

Could this be considered a story of triumph over someone doubting the young rapper's life choices? While it wouldn't seem that way at first, Future's verse comes in and ends up cementing the notion. To boot, 21 and Future manage to do all of this while being super-flashy in the process.
