As you may already know, A$AP Rocky recently announced the 2nd Annual Yams Day celebration, commemorating the late great A$AP Yams. The tribute concert is set to take place tomorrow at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York City, and will feature A$AP Mob, along with sets from A$AP Rocky, Joey Badass, Lil Uzi Vert, Danny Brown, Flatbush Zombies, T-Pain, Cam'ron, Pro Era, and Tyler, the Creator.

To set the tone for the upcoming event, A$AP Ferg and Pro Era artist/producer Kirk Knight teamed up for the track "Setup." Produced by Knight, it incorporates eerie 808-driven production reminiscent of the instrumentals Ferg made his bones rapping over on A$AP Mob’s Lords Never Worry mixtape.

On “Setup,” Ferg goes back and forth with Knight, bringing raw energy and his patented reverb-heavy adlibs throughout the song. Knight somehow manages to match Ferg's energy leving, hitting us with bars like "making the money flip so many times/I'm thinking that I deserve medals.”

The bars and flows from Knight are unexpected, but greatly add to the hype factor of the song. Shout out to producers being able to keep up lyrically over their own production!
