Chance commemorated the GOAT with poise and grace.
Published on July 15, 2016

Last night Chance the Rapper took the stage at ESPN’s ESPY Awards to pay tribute to the late boxing legend Muhammad Ali. With a little help from collaborators Donnie Trumpet, Peter Cottontale, Jamila Woods, and a full choir, the Chicago MC performed a moving ballad to a crowd which featured the world’s best athletes. The tribute featured clips of Ali’s greatest moments and sound bytes about his relationship with God and plans after retirement. Ali passed away at the age of 74 last month following a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease. You can watch Chance’s performance below.
