New York born Franco-Chilean-American Nicolas Jaar had been captivating the underground NYC music circuit for years prior to his 2011 debut album Space Is Only Noise thanks to his unorthodox approach to dance music. He made a name for himself producing much slower tracks than the norm, as well as incorporating haunting keys and vocals, something rather against the grain in the world of 132 BPM parties.

Since then, Jarr has birthed the label Other People, been part of of the critically acclaimed duo Darkside (along with Dave Harrington, who released Psychic in 2013), scored the Jacques Audiard Cannes Film Festival Palme D’Or winner Dheepan, unofficially scored 1969’s The Color Of Pomegranates, and released a multitude of singles and EPs.

Jarr's second solo album Sirens will be released via Other People September 30. Stream it now on channel 333. This is the first full length follow up to this debut album and the first solo effort in 5 years.

The streaming version includes the bonus track “Wildflower,” but individual tracks aside, Nicolas Jaar is a producer with a penchant for the cinematic so we highly recommend streaming Sirens here in its entirety for the full experience.
