Last night, Kanye West abruptly ended his headlining set at the inaugural Meadows Festival in New York due to a “family emergency.” Countless fans were left high and dry in Queens and subsequently booed West.
Reports began to surface through the night that the reason for his swift exit was that Kim Kardashian-West was robbed at gunpoint in Paris. Several sources have confirmed that five armed assailants dressed as police officers entered her hotel room at l’Hotel de Pourtalès. The men threatened the concierge with violence if he refused to escort them to Kardashian-West’s apartment.
Upon entering, the men bound and gagged Kim in her bathroom and successfully made off with over $10 million in jewelry, including a new engagement ring that Kanye purchased just weeks ago. Two of her cell phones were also stolen. All the while Kardashian pleaded for her life, saying she had children to the suspects.
Once obtaining what they came for, the men exited. Kardashian was eventually able to escape from her bounding and contacted the police. After speaking with the Paris police, Kardashian left France on a private jet for New York. Although she wasn’t physically harmed, she is definitely shaken by the incident.
Allegedly, she was without private security at the time, making it all the easier for the robbers to enter and take what they wanted. Her children North and Saint West were not with her either.
